The Nike, Tennessee Vols  agreement, began July 1, 2015, and will continue at least through June 30, 2023, they supply all 20 of Tennessee's athletics programs as well as the UT spirit squads with NIKE apparel and uniforms, footwear and additional equipment for the duration of the agreement.

Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics, Dave Hart had this to see when the contract with the Vols was agreed upon.  "NIKE is the right partner for the University of Tennessee moving forward. We appreciate our current partner and the strong relationship we have had for many years. We will continue to work together through the end of the existing contract."

Since the agreement fans have been able to purchase officially licensed Tennessee gear produced by NIKE.

In today’s world they are the most popular basketball shoe in sports, even though they had a few damage control issues when Zion Williams injured his knee after one of his Nike shoes blew out less than a minute  into Dukes game against North Carolina in 2019.
